One of my followers texted me today early in the a.m. telling me that the Liberal party has just decided to revoke my favorite player’s (Djokovic) visa one more time. For a moment I thought that the Grand Slams were held in what we think or liked to believe are advanced nations where the human development index is high: USA, UK, France, and Australia. This index measures many things but mainly three key things: long and healthy life, knowledge, and a decent standard of living. In this index that goes from 0.0 to 1.0, Serbia is 0.73 and Australia 0.93. The world average is 0.7 and in Europe Serbia is the poorest nation. This is important to understand so if you act like a bully in elementary school and as a dictator on a sheepish island, it is the same. Morrison was never going to take on a world number one if he was from Japan, New Zealand, or Switzerland. (Understand the desire to bully or exercise authority over a weaker opponent).

The world’s number one went to an embassy somewhere and showed documents to get a visa. I am sure the consulate knew who he was and knew his stand on Covid vaccinations. If it were a competent government, it would have said, sir, you cannot get a visa to play as you do not meet the protocols as we define them to enter our country. But of course…
