THE REVOLT OF THE BLACK ATHLETE, USTA!

Tiafoe’s message on racism in the USA.
Harry Edwards, a sociology professor at the University of Berkeley, wrote the book titled “The Revolt of the Black Athlete “ 50 years ago. I urge the heads of the USTA and the board members to learn about the author and his message. Last night near midnight, Harry wrote an opinion piece for CNN. I am attaching the link and the somber article for all to read and learn. In it, even after fifty years of having written a wonderful book, Mr. Edwards sees tennis in the same way I do, and recently the NYT did, Funny how everyone sees the failure of the USTA, its board, and its leadership except the USTA.
To give context to the failure, I will add a simple piece of data that will open your eyes, light your prejudices, and make you smarter to the point that you can no longer think as you have in the past. Here it is. The most common age in the United States for a white person is 58 years of age (the same range of age as the fans of the USTA and the coaches in America it is 60–62 years of age), the most common age for a black person in America is 27 years old, the most common age for a Hispanic American is 12 years old. You do not have to be a statistician to see how one group is at the end of this thing we call life, and the others are starting their lives. It is the moral…
