What is the purpose of USTA?

When I met USTA’s CEO, I clearly explained to him that what the USTA focused on was not of any interest to excite people.

• The US Open
• An American Star

Of course in typical bureaucratic chatter he defended both purposes of the organization, please keep in mind that purpose is not what you say, it is where you fund resources and money and all the money from USTA goes to the US Open, Player development and other useless endeavors that help a number of people so few that it is absurd in the eyes of everyone except the brilliant USTA executives.

Maybe if these arrogant executives who have to hide participation and investment figures to keep their jobs can learn from Starbucks CEO. The USTA has no clue what it is doing and Javier has nailed the needs and vision perfectly. So what is next, they try to do it themselves?
